It is dreary and windy today, so I thought I'd show it by the flag frenzy in the parking lot at work. Stay warm and make sunshine with your smiles!

Day 10
On our family outing today, we were surprised by a new path at the Mallard Creek Greenway.
We meandered to the campus of UNCC, just like all the other people escaping the winter blues on this 69 degree day!

Day 8
I got these lovely, wonderful, beautiful flowers for my birthday from my mom and dad. They are my invitation to spring, and I'll be RSVPing for 3 this year.

Day 7
I feel like this tree - dark and slightly out of focus, but still standing as the sun decided to come out today. There is light and other brightness behind it, but we just can't quite see it yet. Not yet, but soon.

Day 6
The last little morsels of the holiday candy, that I happily bid 'adieu' to, since I need to say 'hello' to my waistline again.

Day 5
The love between a mother and son is immense and powerful, and such a great gift to be blessed to have.
Day 4
I kind of feel like a lot of my pictures will be dark greys, blacks and browns, so I threw in color right off the bat so I wouldn't feel so bad being so bleak in weeks and months to come.
Day 3
I got this from my mom in college, and I have really liked it ever since. It's a simple command, and it gives me motivation at times.

My Pictoral History of 2011
Happy New Year! Instead of a resolution this year, I am going to challenge myself. I am going to test my creativity and motivation. My challenge is simple: Take one photo everyday.
I have been contemplating this for a long time now. My friend and co-worker, Rhonda, showed me Wendy Perry's 'Project 365' last year. www.takingsnapshots.squarespace.com/project-365
It was fun and inspiring to follow, and she is doing it again this year. Hooray!
I would like, most of all, to tear a little piece of everyday and save it to remember my son's first year with us.
I will do this! Today, my very first day, I am excited to see and later remember the rainy days, the birds on a wire and the way Gil's eyes light up with each and every smile.
I hope you follow me in my journey all year to make this one as wonderful and memorable as the last!
