Day 198

Day 197

"I finally came to conclusion that nobody is going to lure or drive me out of this old house I've lived in all my life"
~Zell Miller

I have wanted to get on this property and take pictures for months now. It caught my eye because the sun would shine onto the layers of old paint and tired wood. Of course the day I can get over there, it's cloudy. I went anyway. I feel there are still souls at this house. It seems to have been loved at one time long, long ago.

Day 196

"Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine."
Jeffrey Glassberg

Day 195

~Hindi Proverb

It will be 101(!) degrees here today.  The sun, in the pictures above, is just starting to warm up, stretch it's legs and run in place for it's noon debut of relentless heat and shameless opression. Stay cool, my friends!

Day 194

I cleared my head today...
by going to an indoor flea market. Today was solely to get some shots for this here blog, but there is always something in my reverie that sends me back 25 years, and makes me smile from the inside out. It reminds me of my Mom dragging and pulling me all over the place to locations like these to dig, sort, sift and in my case run all over the place. So Mom, when you read this... hello, and thank you for such a fun childhood.

Day 193

“Every time you pick up your guitar to play, play as if it’s the last time.”
~Eric Clapton

Ok, I don't play, but I like the quote AND this is my hubby's guitar, and I wish I heard him play it more...

Day 192

A Sunday to savor
It's still 800% humid here, but it was a little "cooler" today. We met some friends for an early dinner, then strolled around Dilworth for a few hours to work off our meal, and of course, to enjoy one another. It was one of those days that I am thankful to have experienced, but I am so very much looking forward to fall weather.
